COVID-19 & Measles
We want to take a minute to let you know what we are doing to minimize the risks associated with COVID-19 and the recent measles outbreak.
As always, we continue to be committed to the safety of our patients, including our newborn/infant and immunocompromised patients. Rest assured that the steps we are taking are based on well-established principles of virology:
We will address acute febrile illnesses via virtual video visits. These are face-to-face encounters between you, your child, and Dr Cavalier. If antibiotics are required, Dr Cavalier will prescribe them. Even if antibiotics are not required, Dr Cavalier will carefully guide you through the steps necessary to getting your child well. She will also discuss with you the signs/symptoms that warrant an escalation of care.
We will be asking you specific questions about your travel history, your child’s symptoms, and your own symptoms. Please be honest in your answers as this will help us triage patients appropriately and avoid unnecessary delays in treatment.
We will continue to keep our well patients and our sick patients separated.
We will continue to deep clean using methods that eradicate COVID 19.
Please do not make an appointment with the intention of our testing in the office for COVID-19 or measles.
As always, Dr. Cavalier is available to address your questions and concerns through our patient portal.
