Back in the spring of 2008, and over 6 years before she opened Joy & Crown Pediatric Specialists, she was recruited by UT Southwestern to develop a pediatric hematology/oncology program in the Plano area that was located at the Children’s Medical Center Legacy Campus (Children’s Health Plano).
And, as if being in the midst of a major move were not stressful enough, within weeks of relocating her entire family to Frisco, Dr. Cavalier discovered that a family member was being confronted by a serious health crisis that required more than the services of a PCP. She knew she needed to get her family member under the care of a specialist–fast. Thankfully, the story has a happy ending: the Cavalier family found that they had access to many expert specialists practicing out of Collin County . . . right in their own backyard! Several months later, Dr. Cavalier and her family were back on track and happily settling into their new life in North Texas.
